Guitar School Rocks creator and instructor Brett Boyd is an accomplished musician and a devoted teacher with a true passion for the guitar. His students have the benefit of his years of professional experience in music with extensive credits as a guitarist, songwriter, and producer.
Brett has collaborated with a wide range of artists including members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and is recognized on more than 30 major and independent CD releases. His band The Beautiful Losers have released three CD’s, and their music is heard on MTV programs like True Life and Two-A-Days, and has been featured on TV commercials for the likes of Toyota and Disney. While living in Tokyo, Japan, Brett worked for both Virgin Music Japan and EMI Music Publishing as an international liaison in Creative and Business Services adding to his knowledge of the music industry.
Brett has performed extensively in Japan, Europe, and Canada, and currently enjoys a busy schedule of live shows in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Brett has a Bachelor of Arts degree, has studied at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California, and has deepened his knowledge of guitar craft and technique with many world-class guitarists and instructors including Paul Gilbert, Michael Schenker, and Peppino D’Agostino.
